File extension aup information

.AUP is free software provided free by the developer for use in recording and editing of audio sounds. The program works well in GNU/Linux, Microsoft windows and Macintosh operating systems. The developer optimizes UAP files, specifically to increase the capacity and speed by which they store, save and open audio projects. Used together with the audacity application, the .AUP files can record audio sourced from digitized recordings such as vinyl records, cassette tapes or mini discs. Additionally, audio from a mixer or microphone is well handled by the program.
When used together with certain types of sound cards, the .AUP file extension is able to capture other forms of streaming audio, record from various sources such as microphone, or even make multi-track recordings through dubbing existing tracks. Used with the multi-channel hardware, the program can record 16 channels on one occasion. The level meters monitor volume intensity during recording and afterwards. Audio files saved under this application are stored in a directory under different folders, which makes it easier for retrieval and playback. The larger files are broken into smaller pieces for faster opening.
